This project receives no government funding and participating stations use no public funding.

KGLP got a News Award from the New Mexico Broadcasters Association (NMBA) on June 8, 2012 (Gallup Public Radio was "Broadcaster of the Year" for 2011). The award was for a documentary on a meeting of the Pueblos of Laguna and Acoma with BNSF on a train ride looping between Grants and Gallup in the summer of 2011. Listen here.
