What’s new:

9-11pm Sundays, KGLP now airs Radio MAQAM, hosted by Bashar Barazi. This is an Arabic music program featuring a broad selection of styles and origins, with most shows featuring a theme or focus, ranging from the music and culture of specific countries or regions, or a particular genre, such as Arabic jazz, for example. Radio MAQAM's website is available here and the first episode which aired on KGLP can be found here.

Gallup Public Radio, Inc.'s board of directors meets next on Monday, August 10, 2015 (the second Monday of each month) from 5:30 pm until at least 7:00 pm in the UNM-Gallup Executive Director's first floor Conference Room, Gurley Hall 1216-A.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  For more information, you may email manager@kglp.org or call 505-863-7626. KGLP’s policy on open meetings is available here.

This KGLP.org website and KGLP's high-quality online audio streaming is not available on the UNM campus network, which includes UNM-Gallup.  Folks on campus may listen to our live broadcast on a conventional radio, or a mobile device via a 3g or 4g connection, or visit KGLP.org on mobile devices, though our podcasts (audio archive) will still be accessible to everyone, everywhere, with any internet access.

KGLP’s Spring 2015 Newsletter is available here and previous newsletters are archived here.

170 Million Americans for Public Broadcasting is a collaboration of public radio and television stations, national organizations, producers and our viewers and listeners throughout the country in favor of a strong public media in the United States. This project receives no government funding and participating stations use no public funding.

KGLP got a News Award from the New Mexico Broadcasters Association (NMBA) on June 8, 2012 (Gallup Public Radio was "Broadcaster of the Year" for 2011). The award was for a documentary on a meeting of the Pueblos of Laguna and Acoma with BNSF on a train ride looping between Grants and Gallup in the summer of 2011. Listen here.

KGLP’s Spring Fundraiser was April 13 through April 18.
