New Mexico’s Statewide Day of Giving happens on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, benefiting KGLP and other Non-Profits

In celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Community Foundations, The Community Foundation Coalition of New Mexico (Coalition), comprised of the Albuquerque, Taos, Southern New Mexico, New Mexico and Santa Fe Community Foundations, is supporting New Mexico to participate in a national day of community giving. The nationwide initiative, Give Local America, takes place
May 6, 2014. Over 100 communities across the US, with the help of their own community foundations, will host local giving events to support local causes and organizations.  Each local gift will be amplified with dollars from a national incentive pool of funds.

If you can’t donate during KGLP’s Spring Fundraiser,
April 14 through April 19, how about considering a gift on May 6, during the 1st Annual Statewide Day of Giving? (

KGLP’s Spring 2014 Newsletter is available here and previous newsletters are archived here.

170 Million Americans for Public Broadcasting is a collaboration of public radio and television stations, national organizations, producers and our viewers and listeners throughout the country in favor of a strong public media in the United States. This project receives no government funding and participating stations use no public funding.

KGLP got a News Award from the New Mexico Broadcasters Association (NMBA) on June 8, 2012 (Gallup Public Radio was "Broadcaster of the Year" for 2011). The award was for a documentary on a meeting of the Pueblos of Laguna and Acoma with BNSF on a train ride looping between Grants and Gallup in the summer of 2011. Listen here.
