Steve Buggie |
|
"Tropical Steve" Buggie developed an interest in Reggae music during twelve years teaching psychology at the University of Zambia and the University of Malawi, in Africa. Reggae is reportedly a favored musical genre among African college students. The Tropical Reggae show (Friday nights from 9 pm until Midnight) launched in January 1996, and is KGLP's longest running locally-hosted program. KGLP's reggae collection includes 1200 full-length albums, featuring the best of Caribbean and African reggae music. Occasionally, free CDs, festival guides, or concert tickets are given to call-in listeners during the show. E-mail: buggie@unm.edu |
