Anyone who contributes is welcome to come by KGLP’s studio to pick up such items as a bumper sticker, KGLP pen, soda cozy, lanyard, water bottle, or mini-flying disc while supplies last. (We can also mail out a bumper sticker, if you request such delivery.) $25 gets a jar of Prickly Pear Jelly!
Anyone donating $50 or more may request the audio book, "Who Killed Emmett Till", while supplies last. Susan Klopfer moved to the Mississippi Delta in 2003 as the Emmett Till cold case was re-opened by the FBI. Living at Parchman Penitentiary due to her husband's employment, a notorious compound with a fascinating history, she had the opportunity to take a fresh look at this civil rights ground-breaking event and to meet some of the people who still had the story fresh in their hearts and minds. This audio book came out of Susan's research. You can listen to Rachel Kaub's interview with Susan Klopfer about this blog and audio book at KGLP.org.
A $200 donation qualifies any member for a day sponsorship - this is your personal message that KGLP would record, a formal "shout out" on a special day of your choosing, with a script that we would work with you to mark a special occasion. For example: "Carrie and Leon Jim congratulate their son, Micah, on his first year at UNM-Gallup, and want their friends and neighbors to know
how proud they are! Please join us in celebrating his academic career. For more details, our friends may contact us at their leisure." - this sort of message would air a minimum of 10 times during that day.
Be Sargent's paintings have all been claimed...but remember that we still have artist Ken Van Brott's four versions of prints derived from his "Five Feathers" sketches to anyone donating $200 or more...all four prints may be seen on KGLP.org's "What's New" section and KGLP's Facebook page...just let us know which you want to reserve: A, B, C, or D, when you call 505-863-7626 with your pledge (or email firstname.lastname@example.org after donating online.)
